The possibilities are infinite, the potential for lifelong enjoyment, extraordinary!

I) Browse through the designs in our Interactive Showcase and Gallery and check-out the Core Components on the left. From racking to artwork, decide what you like and what meets your needs. Is your wine cellar to be a showpiece for entertaining and wine tastings? Is bottle storage more important? Would you like a workspace for opening and pouring your wine? How do you want the entrance of your new wine cellar to look? Which wood species appeals to you? From All Heart Redwood to Mahogany and Cherry we carry numerous attractive species for your new WineHome.

II) Decide what bottle capacity you'd like for your current wine collection and how much you expect it to grow in the years ahead. Does your collection include magnums and other large bottles? Do you purchase by the case or by individual bottles? Do any special bottles need showcasing?

III) Finally, once you have an idea about what you'd like for your new WineHome - and know the dimensions, desired bottle capacity, we're ready to work with you and begin the design process.

There is a design fee which varies from $100 to $1,000 dollars (depending on the size and options for your cellar.)  It includes the initial quote for your WineHome, as well as a detailed architectural design and 2 revisions. The fee is applied to the total cost of your cellar.

Cooling Your WineHome

What You Need to Know:
In many ways, this is the most important part of building your new WineHome. Fluctuations in temperature and humidity will spoil your wine in no time and a stable environment is essential through proper insulation and climate control.

Regular air conditioners WILL NOT WORK. They remove humidity from the air whereas wine cellar Cooling Systems are designed to not only cool the air, but also to provide moisture. Higher-end systems will introduce and remove moisture as needed.

Noise Level: This varies depending on the system you choose. We recommend split systems with duct work. They are much quieter than self-contained systems, especially near a living space such as a kitchen.

However, self-contained systems such as Breezeaire and WhisperKool can be more easily self-installed although we recommend a licensed HVAC technician for warranty purposes. A licensed HVAC technician is required for split systems.
